To put it simply, this blog is me interpreting a dream I had 4 days ago. At first it made absolutely NO sense, and after looking up a few key words, made all the sense in the world. 

First the dream: 

I was traveling up Lake Shore Drive on a bright sunny day. The beach was full of vendors and craft people for a giant beach craft fair. In the background there were a lot of planes doing tricks and there is a good feeling in the air. As I watched from the backseat of a car I saw one of the planes do a trick and then just plummet into the lake. I immediately thought, “oh no, there should be ambulances coming soon” and continued traveling. I was suddenly walking up the beach and poking in and out of places, looking at books, and making purchases. There was a guy dressed in all blue and a guy dressed in all yellow out on the beach and I heard “Oh great, the crips and the bloods are at the same beach, are they going to fight?” and they did. Except it was fist fighting in slow motion. And all the while more planes were crashing into the lake.

To those of you who don’t know, my life is going to go through a few changes. Changes that I didn’t know where coming, but ended up being for the best. At least I hope so. I had been wanting to pursue my “real” career for quite some time and felt a bit stuck in a position that I had at work. Well the Universe decided to take care of that by slapping me across the face and giving me the boot to make the decision to pursue acting/comedy. 

So what does that have to do with this dream? I didn’t know how either until I took a few key elements of the dream and looked them up. I use a website called dreammoods.com it is one of the best dream websites in my opinon and it has never failed to explain what the hell my dreams mean. 

I took these key elements from my dream:

Bright Sunny Day

Beach

Lake

Airplane Crash

Blue

Yellow

Lets do the scene setting ones first (all definitions by dreammoods.com):

• Lake: The lake may provide you with solace, security, and peace of mind. If the lake is clear and calm, then it symbolizes your inner peace. 
• Sun: To see the sun in your dream symbolizes peace of mind, enlightenment, tranquility, fortune, goodwill, and insight. It also represents radiant energy and divine power. Generally, the sun is a good omen, especially if the sun is shining in your dream.
• Beach: It is a place of transition between the physical/material and the spiritual. To dream that you are on the beach and looking out toward the ocean indicates unknown and major changes that are occurring in your life.

Because the sun was shining and the lake was calm, I believe that I feel good about decisions that are being made in my life. I believe things will be okay and that I will be happy. However, I took the “Looking out toward the ocean” part of the beach definition because I was never in the lake looking back toward the beach. And that, as you can see, shows that “unknown major changes are occurring in my life”. 

What was I seeing in the lake though? Airplane crashes. 

• Airplane Crashes: the crashing airplane represents your lack of confidence, self-defeating attitude and self-doubt. You do not believe in your own ability to achieve those goals. Loss of power and uncertainty in achieving your goals are also signified.

This makes complete sense to me. I might be calm and happy about the decision, but I am plagued by what I’m pretty sure a lot of people are plagued with. The fear of failure. What is most interesting about this though, is how I dealt with this in my dream. I saw it but immediately thought “oh someone will have to take care of that”. It didn’t disturb me as much as you would have thought. 

Thats either me not dealing with the issue, or trying to ignore it so it doesn’t overwhelm me. 

But who was fighting on the beach? BLUE & YELLOW.

• Blue: The presence of this color in your dream, may symbolize your spiritual guide and your optimism of the future. You have clarity of mind.
• Yellow: The color yellow has both positive and negative connotations. If the dream is a pleasant one, then the color yellow is symbolic of intellect, energy, agility, happiness, harmony, and wisdom. On the other hand, if the dream is an unpleasant one, then the color represents deceit, disgrace, betrayal, cowardice and sickness. You have a fear or an inability to make a decision or to take action

Heres where it gets a bit murky. Yellow can have positive or negative? Was my dream an unpleasant one? I didn’t feel scared or that it was unpleasant in the dream. But looking at the elements in the dream, it was a bit weird/unpleasant. And blue & yellow were fighting. 

Blue makes complete sense. My spiritual guide there with me on the beach, telling me (along with the sun and calm lake) that I have “clarity of mind”. These decisions I made are the right ones and I feel good about the future. 

Because Blue & Yellow were fighting, I want to take the “unpleasant” meaning of yellow because it makes more sense to me. The “cowardice and fear to take action” make sense. Along with the low-self confidence of the airplane crashes, Yellow might be the other side of me standing on the beach. 

The Crips and the Bloods can’t occupy the same space though. I can’t feel Cowardice and Optimism at the same time can I? So they must fight, they must battle for the beach. 

When Blue & Yellow were fighting more planes were crashing. Was that yellow winning just a little bit? Although the planes were crashing in a calm lake on a very clear sunny day. Was Blue holding strong?

I never saw the end of the dream. I don’t know who won. Also, I feel that they might be fighting in the coming weeks. And now that I know they are fighting, I can help Blue get a bit better at keeping a strong hold on my future. 

All this from a silly dream. 

I had a request. I had a request to write/describe the relationship between Bones & Booth on the hit forensics tv show Bones. 

“Of course I will write that,” I said. Because I absolutely love that show. 

Bones is one of those cop/forensic type shows that basically swept the primetime viewing in this last decade. It’s much like CSI (Miami, Las Vegas, New York), NCIS, Law & Order (SVU, Criminal Intent, Los Angeles, London), Cold Case, Without a Trace, and to a certain extent The Ghost Whisperer. And those are just the ones I can think of. 

Bones, however, is my favorite of them all. Its hilarious and gross. What other show will have a whole episode exploring the carny culture in a circus? Don’t answer that. 

Bones is based off of an actual forensic anthropologist who is a best selling author. Her name escapes me because I honestly have never looked up who she is. I just love Bones. The character. 

But I’m not here to tell you what happens in all 6 seasons of Bones. No, if you really want to know you should watch it. It’s not like it isn’t widely available. Watch it on TNT every night for 4 hours (a reason why I had to cancel my cable), or Netflix, or Hulu. 

Seriously. Watch it. Its so good. Not life changing, but good. Also, can I just say, I love the titles of the episodes? HAVE YOU EVEN NOTICED THAT? 

BONES & BOOTH SEASON 1 - The One Where We Get To Know Them.

Bones, otherwise known as Temperance Brennan, is a forensic anthropologist who has a very limited world view. Much like your typical scientist, she is very literal. She is a very strong female and doesn’t apologize for who she is. 

Enter Booth. 

Seeley Booth is an FBI agent. He’s the American mans-man, religious, courageous, and fought in the Iraq war as a very successful sniper. 

They are partnered together to work on and solve a murder and eventually just partnered for good to solve a whole BUNCHA murders. And these are the most gruesome murders because, why not? 

This season Booth comes up with the nickname for Dr. Brennan - Bones. She doesn’t like it. 

They don’t really understand each other, but each teaches each other about their respective worlds. At the end of this season they have each shown that they are more complex than what you see. Brennan is very excited to learn about interrogation and guns etc, and Booth gets …well….smarter. 

BONES & BOOTH SEASON 2 - The One with Howard Epps & The Gravedigger

Oh man, serial killers really know how to bring people together. 

Bones & Booth do a lot of talking in the car. They have to travel to all the different places that people get murdered in you see. And this is where and when they get to know each other. They have great debates over relationships (Bones is all about the casual sex partner, Booth is all about the relationships) and religion (Bones doesn’t understand believing in something that isn’t there, Booth is catholic)

Its in this car that we also get to know them, get to like them, and have the great debates with them (see how much l like this show?)

In Season 2 B&B are bonding. 

Remember how I said Bones was very literal? Well she finds out that Booth has a son and an ex-girlfriend. She outright asks her why she didn’t accept Booths proposal. I mean, she doesn’t even KNOW her!

Booth also finds out that Bones was a foster child and was abandoned by her real parents (who we later find out were escaping certain death and were protecting her). 

As we get deeper into the season Bones has a very interesting relationship with a friend of Booths…who is also an FBI agent named Sully. I say very interesting because in the end Sully asks Bones to run away with her and sail the world. SHE SAYS NO.

This is when we first see that glimpse of a “oh..wait..I like her, you can’t like her” from Booth, but is disguised as an “older brother” type of interest in her personal life. 

Bones and Hodgins - the bug & dirt guy, who is infinitely rich - also get buried alive in a car and only have 10 hours to live (or something like that). You get to see Booth really upset and will not stop to find her alive. 

Howard Epps almost kills one of the teammembers Cam - the head of the forensics team/ex autopsy cop - and we find out that Booth and Cam once had a relationship. Bones sees Booth for more than just a FBI agent.

Also, a whole bunch of people throughout the season keep hinting about how much they like each other and they’re like all “Oh, what? No, we’re just partners”

BONES & BOOTH SEASON 3 - The One with Zack Addy & Gormogon

So. Gormogon is a cannibal that is eating people throughout the whole season.

Zack Addy is the assistant forensic guy that is super awesome and I love him. And he has something to do with Gormogon…but I won’t say anymore about it. 

Bones and Booth have to undergo psychiatric evaluation because in the last season Booth arrested Bones’ father because he’s guilty of murder. 

Bones nor Booth really want therapy, but Dr. Sweets is the cutest youngest psychologist ever. 

If you hadn’t gotten the hint that Bones and Booth totally love each other by now, Dr. Sweets would help you out.

Bones & Booth are very close and say that if they didn’t have these jobs anymore, they would probably go out for coffee. Well, Booth says it….and Bones eventually agrees.

There is an episode in Season 3 wherein Bones walks in on Booth as he is relaxing in a bathtub on an evening off. She has to ask him very important questions that cannot wait and when she walks into the room, neither of them really care that he is sitting naked in a bathtub. Booth is wearing a beer hat, smoking a cigar, and reading the Green Lantern. No real relevance there, just thought I’d paint the picture a bit better. 

Another episode shows Bones’ attitude towards relationships (She has 2 boyfriends) and Booth doesn’t like either of them. Of course shadowed in this “older brother/partner protector” way.

Conclusion:

So Sophia is in the Mall getting convinced by Sean that she shouldn’t kill the people of earth. 

The President is watching all of this happen from his super awesome tracking room. 

Tibet has a hole in it and electromagnetic things are happening.

Old Rich White guy is dead. 

and Leila? Oh Leila. Stupid stupid Leila.

Leila was used as a human pincushion. You see, the Spanish Flu was too potent and would kill people too quickly. So Sophia was like, oh lets pump Leila with the virus and see how she handles it and then we’ll use that strain to kill everyone on earth. Sean found out where Leila was and that she was going to die eventually because she was infected. But you know what else he found out? 

Leila is pregnant. 

So Sean, the brave guy as he is, tells Leila that they’ll get out of this and they’ll live together with their baby and everything will be fine. I think he forgot she was infected with the 1918 Spanish FLU.

BACK to the conclusion. 

Sophia finally gives up and doesn’t infect anyone. She then says “its too late anyway” and looks up into the sky. 

The President and his wife, now outside, look up into the sky.

And we see a blue stream come from the earth, a white light, and …

BLAM. SHWOOOOOP. 

A second earth is in the sky. But this one is all fire-y and almost destroyed. 

Oh my God! What!? Whoooaaa! I can’t wait to see what happens next!!!

No. You won’t. It was cancelled. 

(Welcome to The Event…if you’re just joining us, it might be best to go back to Part 1. Or not. Really, we are all pretty much lost by this point)

PLOT 3: The President is well loved. He has a wife and a son and they are throwing a party. All his pals are around him and he’s having a great time. 

Until someone tries to crash a plane into his fancy party. What the hell? Am I right?

The President doesn’t know there are aliens until a 747 disappears right before his eyes. Then the people hiding it have to reveal there are aliens.

Mr. Pres is appalled at how they are treated at first. What? You captured aliens and have kept them prisoner for 60 years? How could you? Thats horrible!

So he goes up to Alaska cause he has to see for himself that all this is true. He meets Sophia and she convinces him to release her because she’s a good person. Oh also because her son is threatening the president and she’s the only one that can stop him. 

Here is the deal: What I thought was the old rich dude kidnapped the pilots daughter so that he could crash the plane into the president. Sophias son helps out somehow by making the airplane disappear but then tells the president that “He could do something like that again if the President doesn’t release all the aliens”. But then I am realizing doesn’t the old rich dude not like the aliens? Isn’t he there to protect the planet from them? SO WHY/HOW DOES THE OPENING SEQUENCE HAPPEN?

Anyway. Sophia tries to stop her son, but then gets on the bad side of the President because she does something horrible that I can’t remember. And this is the worst possible thing because the President is now out for blood revenge. How DARE she lie to him!

He is then prejudice against all aliens and is convinced by a senator to do a White House blood test to see who is an alien and who isn’t.

SideBar: The guy who is an alien and works for the President, gets them to think this other guy is him and so no one suspects him. 

The Presidents wife refuses to get tested out of morality reasons, but really it’s cause she’s an alien and we know that because they do a lot of close ups of her suspicious face. She then convinces the President that she doesn’t want to get tested because her parents are illegal immigrants from the Dominican Republic and she didn’t want him to find that out…BY TESTING HER BLOOD. He believes her. All is well. 

By this point we’ve found out that the Vice-President was in on the airplane plot. No one but us know that he is being threatened by people to do these things and therefore everyone hates and doesn’t trust him. This isn’t very nice because all he wants to do is make America the best it can be. 

Sophia takes advantage of this weakness and tells the vice-pres that he should be President cause he’d make such a great one. She convinces him to poison the Pres with sugar/poison in his coffee. 

The poisoning finally happens after 25 minutes of tense music and commercial breaks. 

As the President is collapsing everyone is freaking out. He immediately looks at the Vice Pres who is doing a great job acting surprised. They take him to the hospital and right before he goes into a coma he tells his Chief of Security (or something) that he noticed the vice-president and it “had to be him”. 

Let me just say that I know this is a TV show. But come on. If anyone suffered multiple strokes and a heart attack, they don’t “notice” anything, let alone a suspicious look. 

Then they spend a whole 50 minute episode with the VP trying to become P. The Chief of Security and his friend try and stop him. A WHOLE 50 minute episode devoted to this. Only to have the VP sworn in and the Pres in a coma. 

VP is now doing whatever Sophia says. For example, the virus on the plane that Sean and Rogue tried to stop? They almost did. In fact the plane was about to be landed by security jets, but the VP/P told them to back off.  

Also, he tells them to turn a satellite around to not look at Tibet. 

The Chief of Security is fired by the VP/P and he is contacted by the Alien (who used to work for the Pres and then escaped the alien compound…remember?) who has an ANTIDOTE for the President. whoopee. 

They get together to get the antidote to the Presidents wife. They meet in a warehouse and the VP/P is following them on the super awesome tracking system. The VP/P is so scared by now that everyone will find out he poisoned the President, that he orders jets to come and bomb the warehouse. You know, no big deal or anything.

The wife does get the antidote and administers it to the President who, after only 3 hours, walks to the White House and demands his job back. 

Once he gets his job back he finds Sophia using their super awesome tracking system.

Tension builds as he finds out there is a virus about to be released in a mall (not the Mall of America)!!! Not only that, but they have turned back around the satellite over Tibet and there is some weird glowing coming out of the ground!

To be concluded in PART 4. 

PLOT 2 (the longer plot): Hot Blonde and her Boyfriend or - Leila and Sean - are in love. They are going to get married and Sean is all old school and even asks her dad for permission. They go on a cruise together and are doing some “island” stuff when they come across this lady who is drowning. Her boyfriend can’t save her because his arm is broken so Sean jumps in a saves her. Then all four of them get drunk and party all night. When Sean wakes up he can’t find Leila and tries to get back to their room to check to see if she is there. He finds out they didn’t ever even HAVE a room and no one by his name exists on the cruise ship. So he tries to find the other couple, and I think he finds the dude dead in a room and the girl is GONE.  

We find out the girl is a real skinny, hot, rogue-CIA agent that will kill people without a blink of an eye. She is working with this other dude and they were told to kidnap Leila. Not only that, but they killed Leilas mother, kidnapped her 7 year old sister and told her father (the pilot) that he has crash the airplane into the President, OR ELSE. 

Sidebar: I finally remembered why the pilot was crashing into the Presidents party. I still do not know how the aliens got involved and made the plane disappear into the desert. 

Sean is pissed and is trying to find Leila. But there is a catch! There is a warrant out for his arrest and he has to be sneaky about it! He finds this FBI agent and tries to tell her about these people who kidnapped his girlfriend and she believes him. But everytime she tries to help him there are cops that stop her. They do a lot of driving and shooting and thats all I remember, cause then she’s gone….

BTW: Sean doesn’t seem like the type to carry a gun or do crazy things. But he does happen to be able to hack into well protected government sites while driving in the middle of the desert. 3G? 

Sean finally finds Leila who, by her own right, who has been fighting crazy rogue-CIA agent. Leila is like “We’ve got to find my sister” and Sean’s all, “yeah”. They find out that her sister is being kept in the basement of this hospital with other little girls. They are doing weird testing on these girls that makes their faces look like old ladies. 

Let me say that again. 

They are doing weird testing on the little girls that ultimately makes their faces look like old ladies. 

Who is doing the testing? I don’t remember. 

Sean and Leila save her little sister, who..if I remember correctly..doesn’t have an old lady face yet. 

Somehow Sean and Leila find her father and then the little girl disappears. And I’m not sayin, PLOT-wise disappears, she disappears from the show. I honestly don’t know why or where she went. 

Leila discovers her father is an ALIEN! WAAAAHHHH WHAAAA! So that makes her part-alien. In fact, most of the aliens living around the world for the 60 years have had families. Maybe thats who the little girls were. Part-aliens. 

SO Leila now has to make a choice. Discover who she is from her father or thank Sean for risking his life for months and go with him. She chooses her father. Who ultimately tells her NOTHING. 

Sidebar: I’m pissed off. What? She chose her father? Fu*kin Sean traveled the world risking his life for her and her sister and she chooses her FATHER?

So Sean is now going to go off and find out who the hell was testing the little girls in the basement of the hospital. I THINK. 

He finds out that the rogue-CIA agent has a son, finds her and tells her that he’ll reveal to everyone that she has a son unless she helps him. I can’t remember why this is bad that no one find out she has a son. 

The Rogue is working for this guy. Or use to be. And he’s this old, rich, white guy who can tell people to jump off a bridge and they do it out of fear of what he’ll do to them.

This rich guy also can predict the future.

So Rogue-y and Sean find out that Rich Dude is in France. So they travel to France cause Rogue has a friend who is also ex-CIA and he can get them into the compound. They almost get in but she’s taken and Sean is knocked unconscious. 

Then the most violent of all the scenes happens. Sean is pissed, so he goes to the French Ex-CIA agent. He knocks him out, ties him up, and tortures him WITH A HAMMER until he tells Sean where Rogue is.  Sean, the guy who is flying by the seat of his pants, hits frenchies hands with a hammer several times. Its wicked. 

HEY. Remember the Aliens? Cool. Just know that the alien plot is going on at the same time.

Sean saves Rogue-CIA just in time, cause the rich dude escapes and sets the house on fire and she is unconscious. They run after rich-dude, who then says “oh i’ve been waiting for you Sean”, gives him a map and tells him he’ll need it. Rich Dude then shoots himself in the head. 

Rich Dude Biography - Rich Dude is a centennial…or something. What I gathered is, he’s from an old race that is here to protect the earth. And they have these old scrolls that are written in an old language. 

Leila is being kept in a house against her will (she chose her father) and isn’t allowed to contact the outside world. But she seduces an alien and steals his phone to tell Sean what she found out….That the aliens are going to release a virus in the world…and that Sean needs to go to Russia to stop them. 

Sean is WHIPPED.

Leila found this out cause one Alien, who doesn’t feel that killing all of the earth is a good idea, told her about the plan. This alien used to work for the President!

Mini-plot - The alien convinces Leilas dad, who is a hardcore Sophia lover, to stop the virus and Leila, her Father, and the alien try to escape. The father is shot, Leila stays behind with him (idiot) and the alien escapes.

So Sean and Rogue follow the virus from Russia all the way to America. They even try and stop the virus on the PLANE that they were traveling on, but it didn’t work. 

Tension builds as Sean and Rogue-CIA (who are now friends) call in that the virus is going to be released at a mall (not the Mall of America). They stop 2 of the canisters with the virus and lucky for them the cops believe the crazy story and have evacuated the mall and are closing in on Sophia…

But it might be too late. The President sees that the electromagnetic thingy in Tibet has started to work….
